I was wondering the same thing about HF use of the 4CX800A. Is it critical
to use the Svetlana socket with built-in screen bypass, or can you get by
using a "loctal" socket, which fits and a conventional bypass capacitor or
multiple capacitors? I can see that this is a consideration for VHF, but I
wonder if it is critical up to 30 MHz. Anyone tried it?
