Don, I usually just disconnect the wire input to my transformers, & fold it back on itself, for the "lightning season". Have not had any transformer failures using this method. All input connections to the xformers are on "banana" plugs & sockets for quick disconnect. The transformers have been fried in the past, if I forget to disconnect the inputs. All bets are off in the strikes get too close! 73s, Dick W1ZC |
