This type of issue can create endless debates, so I just want to say yes a power line issue can be 30 miles away but the conditions are extremely rare and very few of you, if any, that are reading this will ever experience those conditions. I would also bet that a cracked ground feeding one commercial building didn't cause RFI up to or over 1000 MHz at 18+ miles away. That is very unrealistic.
