[Skimmertalk] KX3 AND SKIMMER

The usual configuration of HPSDR (same in PowerSDR) is to use the SoftRock-IF radio type. This would limit the bandpass to 24khz, just like the kx3. Is there another option I don’t know about?

FWIW, the VE7 said that this would give you more bandwidth than the 3 KHz afforded by the audio mode, and 24 KHz is "more", but I agree it is a bit misleading. You can get any of a variety of Hermes-compatible SDRs for a lot less than a KX3.

Hi ED,

Thanks for the input...

Well, I READ the instructions written by a ve7 guy.....and it was working according of what he said...

I am a bit dissapointed...the kx3 is brand new...just bought it to use the skimmer...

What would you recommend me to use to sychronize the LO OF THE RADIO....

Thanks anyway
