Well, it could be something else.  Are your PC and Red Pitaya connected to
each other through a Router (which can get rebooted by an ISP), or by
direct connection through a "dumb" Ethernet switch, so the skimming
continues even if you turn off your Router?

You can simulate a communications interrupt and cause an instant crash in
Skimmer simply by unplugging the Ethernet cable to the Red Pitaya.
