The only technical difference between cwu and cwl should be the way the
pitch changes when you turn the knob, one way the pitch increases when you
turn to the right the other it decreases.  If there is any other difference
it is probably an issue with the radio filters or if alignment.  Beyond that
it is a matter of user preference.

huh?? i thought ALL cw guys used CWU...higher pitch, higher freq..at least
