Thanks Paul for the Info. I have the Sealed Lead Acid type battery. I guess I can use any battery charger with these ? 73 Walter ----- Original Message ----- From: "Paul" <designer@quickdata.com>

Make sure this is really a "Gel" cell. I started calling everything
that didn't need maintenance a "Gel Cell" till I realized you have
SLA (Sealed Lead Acid) and AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) and they are all
"closed".

And the deal is, a true Gel Cell, according to some battery tender
manufacturers, like DelTran, say you need a different charger for
that Gel Cell while the SLA, and AGM (and Car Battery) can both use
the same (different from Gel Cell) Charger.

For example, I used to call my 7Ahr Power Sonic "brick" batteries Gel
Cells but they are SLA.

73,
Paul
