Follow up:
If you have a PLL problem you will either hear all CW signals warbly or
unstable. This instability is caused by poor solder joints on the PLL
boards. If the PLL is actually not locking, you will get no receive at
all and the display will spell out, "PLL OUT OF LOCK". A out-of-lock
condition can be either solder related or it may just need a small
adjustment to the VCO coil on the offending band.
