I did some more playing with the 219 9mhz filter last night. I have tried it in both of the n1 and n2 positions. N2 has the inrad roofing filter in it also. No difference in either position. I get about a 10 db loss which is what T T says is the loss in that filter. This is regardless of how I play with any other functions, PBT,NR, etc. This is for weak signal DX on 80&160m. Other bands dont need it. I am just trying to lower the QRN to sig ratio. Thanks for all of the replies and suggestions. I guess it is back to the 500hz filters. 73 Paul K9OT |
