My Omni VI Plus just turned down to 5 watts using the RF Level control.

I seem to recall (traded my Omni VI+ for an Orion II this year) and my
log-book records working with as little as three watts just cranking down
the
"Power" control (ganged with the "Mic" microphone gain knob, bottom
left). I
did no mods to the radio; it came that way from the factory.

My Omni V has this mod done to it, and I am thinking of getting another
radio
to act as the IF for my Elecraft transverters. Right now, I am using my
Argonaut II but would like to free that up for portable and QRP
