I would suspect that something is wrong. If the radio can be controlled by external rig software with reasonable response, then the firmware download should be done in 3 minutes or so. Make sure the file didn't get hammered when you loaded it off the Internet to your computer.

Folks,

This is the first time I've done a TenTec reflash. How long should it take?
It's been going for 12 hours now, and it's only written 4100 lines of the
9700
that are part of the package. I would suspect that's not normal. I'm using a
USB/Serial
convert cable on a port set for 56K. It's the same connection I use for
logging, and
remote control and it works fine for that purpose. Any hints?
