Bernie:
Very sorry for your current heartburn with this setup 8^) . I always start
with the very simplest thing, which in this case would be the coax
connector itself. If that checks out, then I would disconnect from any
switcher, and try running it directly into your rig. I have occasionally
had glitches in them which mysteriously disappeared. I surely hope those
two simple checks will clear them up without having to bring the A3 down.
And believe it or now, it could be something as simple as not accurately
seating the coax connector before tightening it down. I have been a ham 47
years, and I still do this more often than I care to admit. And I blame
the tuner company for quite a while before I finally settle down, go
systematically through it, eventually discovering my error.
IE, it could be a simple thing, and not be the antenna itself at all.
Here's hoping it is something simple like that. Anyway, good luck in your
