It is caused by the method of dynamically computing rather than pulling up pre-stored filter parameters. The mix of old filter and new filter parameters as they are being updated manifests as a click in the audio. The response was specifically addressing the slight click that occurs on BW change. Perhaps EQ is done the same way. It's normal.
