Hey, Ken, and congrats on the new radio. Not quite enough info to help much,
but that tripping of the P/S is designed to prevent a final meltdown and
TT's preferred protection method rather than scaling back power with SWR.
Some help to troubleshoot this:
1. what SWR are you reading before you crank up enough for it to trip? Low
impedance loads tend to draw more current (and are potentially more
dangerous) and a tuner is needed if you don't already have one
2. what power level are you tripping at? If you are up to 90 watts or so,
another 10 won't really make much difference
3. does it trip on all bands?
4. finally, if everything else is OK, it is usually possible to reset the
trip point if it is too low
