That's exactly what I was doing today: looking at the QF-1 schematic to
see if it could be done with FET's. That Q-multiplier from the 1958
Handbook sounds like the same one that I built from the 1964 Handbook. I
don't have the schematic anymore, but I still have the parts in the junk
box.  Anybody have a 1958 or 1964 Handbook?

Bob... I have the '64 handbook; pp.140-141 (A Transistorized Q Multiplier). If there is interest I will make the article available.
