FWIW, I checked the CVS in Hattiesburg, MS and found no TDE's for $9.99 but
did find Maxell Noise Cancelling 'phones with a list price of (I think)
$34.99. Mighta been $39.99. They look somewhat similar to the Heil Quiet
Phone, which I have and sometimes use. Mostly I find mself using the Heil
Pro Set Plus.
CVS did not have much selection - there were some Sony's and a few other
Maxells, but nothing that looked really good. I did get a birthday card for
the XYL, so the trip was well worth it!
