Oh, by the way, to clean out the meter, cut a sliver of double-sticky-sided Scotch tape, hold it with a tweezer, and carefully insert it into the meter armature. The sticky tape will pick up any foreign objects or debris (FOD).

In an attempt to replace the meter lamp in my scout, I have tried in vain to remove the meter, I can't for the life of me figure out how to get the front panel off.

took out all the screws that seem to be holding it on, and it looks like I need to remove the entire pcb assembly that is also screwed into the front panel..

there's just got to be an easier way to get the meter out..besides the meter lamp, the meter itself is flaky..

other than calling the factory, has anyone ever removed the front panel on a scout??
