My Centurion was in the shack for 5 years, and other than an early life
fail of the bias transistor, I never had a single problem with it. Ran
it with my Omni VI+ in RTTY contests, QSK CW, and even a little SSB.
Worked like a champ. Every time I turn on my Alpha 99 and sit looking at
the "Wait" LED, I wonder once again why I ever sold the Centurion for the
Alpha. I worked a LOT of DX in those eternal 2.5 minute warmup times
when everyone else's Alpha was not ready.
