Dub,
I use relay switching for balanced feeders. My coupler is the T-T 238A , (sold the Johnson Matchbox a long time ago), the relay is used to switch in a homebrew 4:1 balun ( per W2FMI's design) . The balun is hardwired to the feeders.

A few days ago, someone posted that he used a relay for switching
balanced feedlines. I thought I had saved the msg, but alas, its nowhere to be
found. Any help please?
