Good point about tuning a ground wire! Ten Tec makes a ground tuner in a fine little kit. Using their toroid from their L net tuner of many years. For $49, it was a great buy a few years back. I reconfigured it to do both jobs, as a series ground wire tuner, and as an L network antenna tuner. Simple circuit mod and added one BNC connector in place of a standoff insulator. The L is the variable element. Good to mention the tuning of a shorter wire if you cannot fit quarter wave wire into your shack as a counterpoise around the baseboards. -Stuart K5KVH _______________________________________________ TenTec mailing list TenTec@contesting.com http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/tentec |
