The examiner in Cincinnati was Mr. Cotton, out of Chicago as I remember. When I took my Novice test in 1953 there were a bunch of kids there and one adult man who was black. The man was extremely nervous about his CW sending test, and Mr. Cotton calmed him down, told him that he could do it, and really got him through the test. I've never forgotten that. Jim, W8KGI |
