I am experiencing the same audio symptoms that Chuck, AF4PP, describes. My radio is a Tentec Omni VI/Opt 3. The problem started a couple of months ago, very intermittently, but it?s gradually gotten worse. I originally thought it was a component or wire seating problem (and it may still turn out to be such a problem), but jiggling was no help. Rather, it acts like some component has gone bad because it?s having these problems just about all the time now. Sometimes I can run the AF gain up and still get almost no audio, and what I do get is muffled and distorted. So, if anyone knows what Chuck?s problem is, it?ll be a big help to me, too. 73, Bob NE5RD |
