Comes from the old commercial CW ops that worked on the great lakes steamers
in the first quarter of the 20th century. If you want to hear the actual
swing, make a sked with me. The guy that taught me CW was one of those.

I have heard of that term "Lake Erie Swing" for many years, and never
heard an
actual definition. What sending characteristics constitute a "Lake Erie
Swing", and does anyone know the origin of the term?
Sounds to me like it belongs on a "Lake Erie Porch".......
