Let me jump in here and add a little. I have a FT-847, TS-930S, and a
Jupiter.
I found that the Jupiter had the lowest noise floor of the 3 radios. I
myself am just a everyday operator, do not do contest well, and like to just
sit and talk.
I wanted a Jupiter since they came out and I finally picked mine up about a
month ago. The FT-847 is up for sale and the TS-930 will be my backup rig
until my son gets his upgrade then it will be his, the Jupiter will be
staying for a long time.
