You are 100% correct. I had never looked at the
actual values since I never turn my AGC off but now I
see what you mean. Perhaps they are attempting to
emulate what "Off" means in a normal Analog AGC system,
but I agree that the Digital AGC is truly not OFF.
Whatever Off means, it is not something I find useful.
For that matter they could only made Prog AGC available
since I normally adjust the actual parameters directly.
In several aspects of Orion, it seems they are trying
to make it simple for users of traditional radios to make
the transition to something very different. The AGC is
definitely the most different aspect of Orion.
