In a contesting situation computerized logging can easily by the operator. The mode and band remain constant until changed. When a station is heard-the call is entered, a dupe warning comes up if necessary. If the station has been previously worked of a different band or mode, even from a different operating position in the the station, all the other info is entered automaticly. Then just hit enter to record with a time stamp or or control function to reject.

In a heavy traffic contest situation this logging, not even considering the elimination of one extra person per operating position, is many times faster. For CW work, the constants (contest info) are sent by just pushing function keys..
