My RS-35M came with the negative terminal connected to the chassis
internally. This is not shown on the circuit diagram.

I have also made the internal modification of adding a 10k resistor in the
input signal line to the 317 regulator chip. I float a 110 AH RV battery
across the supply in the manner of a UPS using a 20 amp circuit breaker.
