It works ... but ...

>From 30m down it's about 10 dB BELOW a
similar dipole ... 20m up it's about even, maybe.

WHY ? Look directly opposite the feed point
and you'll see this LARGE "thing" ... Seems
like QST stated it's a 600 ohm resistor and
that why (using the 12:1 balun at the feedpoint)
it "shows a low SWR across the bands" ...

I had one here many years ago ... and gave it
to a friend to use while he put up his tower, he
didn't keep it up long either.

For LESS money, I'd go with a normal dipole
and coax or open wire feed ... We used to
laugh about it as my "Cantenna in the air".

Better than nothing ... yes, and lets you
get/stay on the air. A "secret weapon"
that defines antenna theory and works
better than green snot ? Not a chance.

Save your money for a better project ...
