I think the pileup tapes are an interesting "competition" - much like Major 
League Baseball's Homerun competition and "closest to the pin" or "longest 
drive" at golf tournaments. (Finally, an analogy with other sports that I 
*like*)

These, however, like the pileup tapes, should only be used for entertainment 
(or practice) and not for the actual competition.

IMO, it's OK to run the pileup tapes and crown a separate champion, but don't 
use them to affect the "real" event's outcome.
