I use a product called "PanDuit" which is an system of extruded
plastic "cable trays" and associated fixtures, designed for
cable management in telephone closets and similar places.
I use three "layers" of this system, one for RF, one for power
(both AC and DC), and a third for low level "signals" (audio and
computer).
I'm not particularly precise about cable lengths, as long as they
don't result in huge surplus, but always long enough to leave a
"service loop" so I can pull equipment out onto the desk without
without disconnecting rear connections.
