I vote for the crowd that says that anyone that can must two radios for
a single op event has done nothing really different than someone that
can muster two antennas, or a trip to the inlaws for the rest of the family
or whatever.
However, there is one common practice that I consider bordering on
unethical: sending a CQ on the "run" radio simultaneous with copying an
exchange on the "S&P" radio. Since I'm obligated to send my exchange
when the S&P respondent finishes, I certainly can't answer anyone that
comes back to my CQ (on the "run" radio).
That CQ's ONLY purpose is to QRM anyone that happens to find my
run frequency during my S&P QSO. Interpreted this strongly, its
"deliberate interference" and therefore illegal as well as unethical.
Since its commonly done, most folks clearly don't see it this way. Maybe
someone can explain to mesome other purpose for that CQ?

There's another freeware program available via anonymous FTP for logging the
California QSO Party (CQP) . . . the public-domain version of N6TR's TR-LOG.
The FTP site is maspar.maspar.com (192.84.231.1). Log in as "anonymous" or
just "ftp", and give your e-mail address as the password.
The directory is /pub/k2mm/n6tr-log. It contains the public-domain version
(4.05) of the contest-logging program LOG by Larry "Tree" Tyree, N6TR.
