I *think* that the parts problem with Yaesu rotators may be in part that they 
are made by another company and rebranded by Yaesu.  As a result they are not 
nearly so helpful as one would like them to be on parts matters.  I went all 
the way around Robin Hood's barn with them trying to get a replacement dial 
light for my G-1000DXA control box - finally wound up using a high-intensity 
LED and resistor instead.  Their parts people didn't seem to know very much 
about their small parts for the rotators, and weren't interested in working the 
problem.

If he is still there at Yaesu, I'd suggest you talk to Jerry Darby on the 
amateur tech support staff.  He has been very helpful to me in the past, is 
knowledgeable about their rotators and may be able to suggest a replacement.  
The 400 (or 450) degree rotation may pose a special issue so far as 
substituting a generic unit, but he'd know if anyone would.  Another option 
would be to try to float the question with hams in JA and see if they can tell 
you who makes the rotators and attempt to get the right part that way.
