[Yaesu] FT1000D Last Production

Anybody know when the folks at Yaesu stopped producing the FT1000D (and the 
non-D)?  I have heard that Yaesu has very little inventory of parts to 
repair these radios.  If this is true, all you guys that are extolling the 
virtues of the FT1000 might change your tune huh?
