The last I knew, Yaesu would not service a tuner module. You just
replace it with a new one. If this policy has changed let us know.
Suggest, before you try anything else, you take the recommendation
from the last message. Do a 'hard' reset on the entire radio. This
should involve disconnecting/removing the backup battery. If it still
won't respond, reseat all cabeling going to the tuner. If it still
won't respond, now call Yeasu.
BTW...My tuner, in a FT-900, would go dead if I had a situation where
RF got into the tuner's controller. A soft reset would wake it
back up for me. Good Luck. Let us know how you come out.
Dave.
