John, Ken, listers...
I have wondered about that statement in the literature for the FES, but in
fact, I have not tried it either. If I do, it'll be with very low power,
but I can't imagine that it would be fast enough. Most QSK amplifiers use
either PIN diode switches or vacuum relays. The reed relays in the FES
while fast enough, probably won't meet the need.
I'll give Chuck a call and see what he means by that, as the instructions
are not very clear as to how he would achieve that particualar
feature...which BTW, I would love to have, as my AL1200 is, as of yet, not
equipped with the break-in board.
BTW, does anyone use the QSK add-on for an Ameritron amp? I'd be
interested to know if it's as good as TenTec or Alpha with QSK.
