I think the issue has to do with a couple things. The operating systems, as
well as the actual hardware supporting the multiple monitors.
I have had three scenarios - older computer running two actual video cards
eventually upgraded to early dual head monitor circa early 2000's showed
the behavior as outlined. Newer system with high end graphics GPU with
windows 7 and lots of RAM - never experienced the issue.
Now using a laptop and second monitor under windows 10 the problem shows up
when I am in dual monitor mode. IF I just run in external monitor mode
there is no issue (some might say obviously).
I have always therefore worked with the issue as it seems to be a function
of the specific hardware, driver and software combination.
Provided this simply as my experience not to invalidate other operators'
experiences.
