Bill,
Jim ADIC just asked essentially the same question recently. The answer is
don't use the DXpedition module, but instead use the General DXCC tracking
log module. This does a better job of tracking new "mults" per band and
mode. You can use it for all modes with a bit of preplanning. If you have
already logged some contacts with the DXpedition module you can export the
log as an adi file and then import it into the General DXCC module.
The default Entry window fields of the General DXCC module are CALL,
COUNTRY, C, SNT, RCV and Name. You can change the order of these and add
new ones if you'd like, such as State, by going to Contest/Exchange Format
Setup... Here you can add or remove fields to the Entry window to suit the
situation. To remove a field from the Entry window click on the field name
and then uncheck the Prompt box. To add a new field (State), click on
Insert and type in the field name in the Caption box. If you need
additional character space for the field just hit the Space bar several
times. Use the Move Up and Move Down buttons to change the order of the
field names. When done click on OK and then do a File Save and a Setup/Save
Configuration so these changes are written out to your ini file, otherwise
you'll have to do them again next time you start the module.
If you are doing multiple modes, such as CW, RTTY and/or PSK, you should
create several different empty "dummy" logs for each mode. Setup the macro
messages you want for that mode as then save each dummy log under a slightly
different name, such as W1AW_0_CW, W1AW_0_RTTY, etc. Then in your actual
W1AW_0 main log you can go to Setup/CW/RTTY/SSB messages... and Browse to
the dummy file that contains your previously created memory macros and
import them into the main log. This will not disturb and entries already in
the log, but will load in the needed macros without you having to recreate
them from scratch each time. Now reconfigure the RttyRite window(s) for CW,
FSK, AFSK, PSK, whatever, and you are good to go.

Subject: Re: [WriteLog] How to setup Writelog for W1AW
I do apologize for asking this question late in the game
but I have tried the DXpetiton format but could not get
call, section and RST to populate.
Thought about just using 160mtr format since I think this
is what ARRL wants.
Hope someone has come up with a easy fix.
thanks bill brown K0UK
