I recently have noticed that Japanese CallSign Districts such as 7N2 are
treated for scoring purposes as a JA2 district instead of a JA1 district
as defined in their prefectures:
http://www4.plala.or.jp/nomrax/JA/index.html
I do remember some time back, that in certain occcasions and contests,
that their districts were to be as treated by their numeral, 7N2 (JA2)
instead of their location 7N2 (Kanto Area - JA1).
I noticed this in the SARTG RTTY contest as my calculated score by
WriteLog and WT4I Tools was differing by one multiplier which I tracked
down to Tools scoring 7N2 as JA1 and WL scoring it as JA2. Tis no BIG
deal as the sponsors will calculate the correct score and to me will not
make much difference as I only work a short spell and no big score
anyway.
This may be true for all contests that count JA districts as multipliers
I can't recall any conversation about this practice or is it just one
more of my senior moments ?
