Try to get two radio DVK to work with one sound board. I'm have some
trouble getting my transmit audio to go to the correct radio for ssb
operation. My setup is connected exactly like it is shown on the wiring
diagram from the WriteLog SO2R webpage (two rigs, the W5XD keyer, and two
COM ports). My station mic is connected to the mic input of my PC sound
card. The line out from the sound card is split using a stereo to mono
Y-adapter used to split the stereo into two mono lines. One mono line runs
to the left radio mic input, the other to the right radio mic input. I
have told WriteLog which line out channel is for Radio Left and which is
for Radio Right. Everything is working as expected when I'm playing a
message using the F2-F11 function keys. In other words, whichever radio
has "transmit focus" in WL is the radio that gets the transmit audio.
However, when I'm simply using the headset mic to transmit using VOX (not
playing a message), the transmit audio always goes out over the left radio
regardless of what radio is active in WL.
According to K9JY's 2-Radio Setup document, he says:
Note that this muting is in effect whether you are transmitting a WAV file
or
not, so your microphone signal is also routed to the correct rig.
This leads me to believe that even when using my mic (not playing function
key messages) that the sound card should put audio out over the correct
channels (left or right) depending on transmit focus within WL. Am I
missing something? I've checked and re-checked my sound board settings,
but nothing is jumping out at me.
