Bill
I was in your shoes a couple of years ago. I operate mostly RTTY, but did
enjoy the function of the CW generation with WL
I made the switch to an HP with XP Pro. I had no problem.
About 6 months ago I decided to go SO2R. It took me a week to understand
the installation of additional software to activate the LPT port under XP,
but found if I "carefully" followed the instructions on the WL web page,
everything worked, and still does.
Since then I have added a microHan with the Winkey built in and that works
fine with a TopTenSO2R box.
In net, if you can read and follow instructions, it will work fine.
