On the assumption that you are running Windows XP (insert flavor here)
Click on "Start"
Click on "Search"
Click "Search All files & folders"
Enter writelog.ini in the box provided for file names
Click on the search button.
Should tell you where all copies of the writelog.ini file are located.
Mine was in c:\windows like it's supposed to be. Your mileage may vary.
