Tnx to all who responded. For some bizarre reason, I had no COM ports showing under the [PORTS] section of the writelog.ini file (only two under the [RIGS] section). So I manual edited the .ini file to add the following at the beginning of BOTH sections: COM1:=4800,n,8,1, COM2:=4800,n,8,1, COM3:=4800,n,8,1, COM4:=4800,n,8,1, Special Tnx to Joe, K0BX for helping me resolve this. However, if I change to another computer where COM1 thru COM4 are tied up with internal devices which may not be able to be changed, since the Writelog Setup | Ports options *only* include COM1 thru COM4, what would be the workaround? With more folks going to USB-Serial adaptors, can the Writelog COM options be expanded? 73... Rick, K6VVA
