Hi guys,
first let me tell that WL worked flawlessly in the CQWW as PJ4W. I did not
notice
any big slowdown in saving QSOs after 4600QSOs. It was taking about half a
second late in the contest but this was no problem as it was sending my QRZ
message during the time (or I was tuning the band in S&P).
Just a few remarks to the keying. I agree with Bob that I want to control what
the computer is doing for me. My operating procedure is also similar to his.
You do not have to have Ct Compatibility mode on to use the Insert and + keys
while running. It is also not necessary to use these keys on the number pad.
Notebooks usually don't have one anyway. I thought about switching
"Enter sends Exch/qrz" on, because the Enter key is always easy to find, but
on a German keyboard, the + is right beside the Enter key, so I never felt it
necessary.
In S&P mode there definately is one more keystroke with WL (or CT) than with
TR. A message special character like %R (if not already used - didn't check)
that
automatically presses Enter would help here if so desired. But then I do not log
a contact until I get a confirmation so I'd rather press Enter myself.
