[WriteLog] Contest bugs

I noticed that ALT-F3 didn't work, but CTRL-T spotted just fine.

If I manually type the DX spot in, in exactly the same format that ALT-F3 
seems to produce, it works fine. I wonder if there are some hidden 
control codes in the ALT-F3 cmd that do something screwy...
