Thanks for the confirmation. My suspicion is that it will indeed be found
out to be some sort of bug in the FT-920 firmware. WL is sitting there fat,
dumb and happy when we go hit a button on the FT-920 and suddenly the rig
doesn't "talk" right any more. The foot print isn't that of a WriteLog bug.

I confirmed the problem with my 920 and WL. I have been using the Writelog
Search and Pounce memories window. I use the QMB on the 920 when I'm not
contesting. Maybe when I'm bored I'll grab a protocol analyzer from work
and see what's going on. Could be a 920 problem.

Think I might have found part of the problem. What it boils down to is
this:
(1) Using the dial or band switch and WL keeps up
(2) Use the rig's number pad to punch in a frequency and WL keeps up.
(3) Use the QMB (Quick Memory Bank) switch to jump back to previously saved
old frequency and there is disconnect between WL and the rig. WL is polling
the rig, (CAT indicator flashes) but never updates the screen.
So I presume that there is some sort of problem communications problem at
that point that keeps WL "blind" as to the rig's real freq. There is a work
around so I am not going to worry about it at this point.
Had an absolute blast on the 160M contest this weekend. Once I knew what
would trip the problem I could avoid and all was well.
73s and cheers.

My FT-920 works well with WL No problems. Good luck.
