Gary, I am using the Array Solutions Box. It is my understanding that the
com ports are used for radio control and the LPT port is used for keying.
At least that is the way I have my rigs hooked up. Extremely simple. Gets a
little bit more complex if you use the com ports for other activities. I
only have one com port at the moment so I use the control com port for the
multiplier radio and just set the run radio to a set freq. My setup works
FB with WL. Of course you can get more complex with band maps and thus you
would need a second com port. I have used a USB to serial port adapter but
have found this arrangement to be noisy, subject to RF and not necessary. I
try to make things as simple as possible. Hope this helps.
