I have the ( pre PCI) Byte runner card and it does a very good job. I
imported it from your side, and it only cost a little over GBP40
including air freight, customs duty and VAT (17.5%), so I don't think
that's really expensive. FYI GBP1=USD1.4, but was closer to 1:1.6 at
the time of purchase.
