Frank,

Not sure about the W1WEF I/O , but  LPT CW with the simple one transistor
I/O shown in the Help file,  using "Setup Ports"  is a simple way that works
for me,  with no need to edit the INI file manually for CW ops.  In the left
hand column headed "CW" just click on the button for LPT1.  Since you have
your rig control on Com 1,  (check this also while you're in Setup Ports,)
go down to the CWPTT button and set it for "Command Rig on Com Port."  Then
do Setup, Save Configuration when you're through.  Also be sure you don't
have VOX enabled on the rig.  (On my TS-850 I leave the VOX/MAN button set
to MAN. )
