I'll try another approach at this, since I haven't been able to solicit
a response when I first tried.
I've been using WL since version 9.x and really like it. I've figured
out the CW memories and most of those quirks, but am confused when
using the DVP functions on SSB.
What I can't figure out is how to set up the computer so I can use the
microphone normally -- with a footswitch -- and then when I play back
from the SB, have the computer key the radio and cut off the mike.
My present configuration is as follows:
Com port: rig control only (Ten Tec Omni-6 Plus) - cannot key the radio
on the serial control line - via the serial port.
Parallel Port: CW and PTT.
I had purchased a RigBlaster to control the PTT/mike switchover issue,
but have never been able get it to work satisfactorily.
My question is...how do I wire and configure things to work properly?
- Can WL key the radio in SSB Mode (or AFSK, now that I think of it)
via the LPT port as it does with CW?
- How would I wire the mike switching with the sound board (I'm using a
Heil proset).
Thanks in advance...
