Remember that all the cool kids show up on Tuesday night for 222
Activity Night. In addition, we should all be aware that the secretive
and all knowing 222 MHz Activity Committee is constantly monitoring and
keeping notes on the participants. I know from experience that you
should always be on their good side.
I looked at the Hepburn tropo map and there is an unusual formation of
conditions on the Southern New England coast extending down to the SW
and along the coast. No guarantees, but it might be worth checking out.
If you look closely, the best place to be is around GB Ron's house in
Eastern CT along the shoreline. I will hopefully be on stating a few
minutes before 2300 UT looking for contacts. I am spending the day
working on my ten and two meter tiwer repair. I painted a few 45
sections today and sorted out guy wires. I am rigging up the 2nd set of
guys at about 70 ft. Hopefully I will have some energy left this evening.
Remember to monitor the ON4KST Chat page especially if yu live in the
hinterlands. If people know you are QRV, they will aim your way.. Use
the 144/432 Region 2 page.
CU this evening.
